My Profile I began practicing law in 1992 with a firm specializing in civil and criminal trial work. I gained valuable courtroom experience and began to work with business owners involved in litigation.  When I formed my own practice in 1994 I continued to handle litigation while beginning to move toward an emphasis on business transactions and real estate closings.  I purchased a title agency in 1998 and began closing a high volume of real estate transactions.  My experience as a young lawyer allowed me to develop a strong background in many areas of the law.  However, over the last ten years I have narrowed the focus of my practice to concentrate on representing business and real estate clients. Currently, a large percentage of my practice involves the formation of new business entities and representing buyers and sellers of businesses.  I routinely set up corporations, limited liability companies and partnerships and draft all necessary organizational documents, buy/sell agreements, by-laws, operating agreements, non-compete agreements and many other business documents.  I handle all aspects of business acquisitions, mergers and sales.  I am very experienced with Small Business Administration loan closings as well as traditional commercially-financed business closings.  I also serve as registered agent for nearly 150 business entities and provide a wide range of services to business clients, including contract and lease preparation, collections and general business litigation.  My clients include restaurants, contractors, retail establishments, developers, manufacturing companies, doctors, real estate companies, and many other types of businesses. My business law practice fits nicely with my real estate practice.  I represent both buyers and sellers of residential and commercial real estate.  I handle a high volume of real estate purchase closings and refinances and prepare hundreds of deeds, financing documents and many other real estate documents.  Since I have an ownership interest in a title agency, my office is set up to efficiently and quickly handle all aspects of real estate closings.  Finally, I represent many commercial and residential real estate investors.  I am accustomed to using various vehicles to buy, finance, manage, rehabilitate, lease, market and sell real estate.   Please review my practice areas for more detailed information on the services I offer and the fees I charge.
